All 15 Players Cut From Bafana Squad

Hugo Broos has cut 15 players from his Bafana Bafana squad, including Keagan Dolly due to his injury.

 

Dolly missed Kaizer Chiefs’ last two DStv Premiership games but was included in the preliminary squad, however, he needed to be cut because he will not be back to full fitness for the upcoming games.

Broos explained that Dolly is not the only injured player from his pool of national team players, with four others also missing out due to injury.

“You have Dolly, you have [Rushine] De Rueck, you have [Siyanda] Xulu, you have [Nkosinathi] Sibisi, you have [Siyabonga] Ngezana also injured,”

“Those five players, in the beginning they were on the list but you have to take them out because of injuries.

Overall, Broos cut three players from Kaizer Chiefs, two from Orlando Pirates, three from Mamelodi Sundowns, two from Golden Arrows, two from SuperSport United, two from Stellenbosch and one from Cape Town City in comparison to his preliminary squad.

All players left out of the Broos’ Bafana squad:

Defenders: 
Siyabonga Ngezana(Kaizer Chiefs), 
Luke Fleurs (SuperSport United),

Midfielders: 
Fortune Makaringe, Thabang Monare (bothOrlando Pirates), 
Lebogang Maboe, 
Thapelo Morena (both Mamelodi Sundowns), 
Jesse Donn (SuperSport United), 
Mduduzi Mdantsane (Cape Town City)

Strikers: 
Ashley Du Preez (Stellenbosch),
