Al Ahly have unveiled their new major signing Bruno Savio after he completed a $1-5million transfer from Club Bolivar.
Ahly are embarking on a major squad revamp and the Brazilian winger arrives after they loaned out Luis Miquissone to Abha FC in Saudi Arabia earlier this month.
The club have already sold Badr Banoun and Aliou Badji to Qatar SC and Amiens in recent months which racked up to around R46-million in transfer fees while the Miquissone deal added an extra R5-million.
With Marcel Koller appointed as their new coach, Savio joins Shady Hussein as their latest arrivals, with the 29-year-old Egyptian being one of the standout players in the league for Ceramica Cleopatra last season.
“We are delighted to announce that Bruno Savio has completed his transfer to Al Ahly from Bolivar,” the club statement read.
“The player has signed a three-year contract with the club in the presence of Amir Tawfik, the club’s director of marketing and transfers department.”
The Brazilian scored 16 goals and registered four assists in 31 games across all competitions last season for the Bolivian giants.
