Pierre Schoeman, WP Nel and Duhan van der Merwe and Kyle Steyn were named in Scotland Rugby World Cup squad.
Furthermore, SA-born lock Paul Willemse was named in the French side. So, these are the only non-Springboks SA-born rugby players. Surprisingly, Lappies Labuschagne and Gerhard van der Heever did not make the Japanese squad.
FORMER BOK COACHING DUO TO COACH NAMIBIA
In contrast, former Springboks head coach Coetzee takes charge of Namibia.

Jaco Peyper is the only South African named by World Rugby in their referees panel for the Rugby World Cup.
In fact, he will take charge of the monumental and blockbuster opener between hosts France and New Zealand on 8 September 2023
