Magesi FC Technical Advisor Peter Koutroulis has boldly declared that the Limpopo Motsepe Foundation Championship side will be promoted to the DStv Premiership at the end of this season.

Koutroulis was speaking at the announcement of their new players and technical staff at the Peter Mokaba stadium on Friday.

Magesi finished the last season in 12th position on 37 points and are looking to chase promotion in their third season in the League.

Koutroulis has experience of working in South African football, especially the promotional league as an administrator at sides such as Mpumalanga Black Aces, Chippa United, Sekhukhune United and Pretoria Callies.

The Technical Advisor says he speaks from a confident place of knowing how the first division operates and he told Dikwena Tṧa Meetse management that they need good players and structure to challenge for the title.

“My confidence, one comes from the fact that I’ve worked for five different NFD clubs and as an NFD club you need money because without money forget about soccer,” said Koutroulis.

“And I got these things from Mr Patrice Motsepe when my family helped Mr Motsepe’s Sundowns. You can see where Sundowns is today because Motsepe can sign any player, the cream of the players, that’s why he is winning the League every year and will win it for another 15 years.

“Now NFD, when I met with the chairman [of Magesi] I said to him you will never go wrong with a good structure. He believed me and now we have signed very good players. The players that used to play in the NFD and the PSL cost money but we need them.

“I’m also very positive because I love soccer, I know my job and I trust myself. And thank God I know the coach, Mr Clinton very well and I also know Ledwaba.

“Ledwaba used to be my player when I promoted Mpumalanga Aces. Now I’m not saying I’m God but I think this season is Magesi’s season. Come to the games and you will see the difference.”

Meanwhile, the club unveiled 12 signings, namely: Diamond Thopola,  Junior Seseane, Thierry Sama, Wonderboy Makhubu, Mcedi Vandala, Anathi Ngwadla, Glen Malesa, Mzwandile Buthelezi, Tshepo Matsemela, Thintswalo Masebe, Katleho Molaba and Elson Sithole.

They also confirmed the the new technical team of the club, adding Biokineticist Samantha Singo, Goalkeeper coach Fiston Kabwanga and Physical Trainer Pedro Picarro.
