The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa revealed that the educational drama series was the second most-watched soapie in South Africa for July and needed at least 380,000 views to dethrone the most-watched drama series. Over the years, the drama series has gained popularity and has fast become one of the most-watched drama series in South Africa thanks to its star-studded cast.
Undoubtedly, it has kept the second-most-watched soapie spot after Uzalo over the past few months. Against its success, it was renewed for the 12th season, which saw Hungani Ndlovu joining the show to portray the character of Tbose Maputla. Hungani Ndlovu has been topping trends after the news dropped that the drama series managed to hit the 5 million viewers mark in the wake of his debut.
