Former Mamelodi Sundowns maestro Lesedi Kapinga could make his Orlando Pirates debut this weekend.
Kapinga joined the Buccaneers as a headline new-season signing however he’s yet to feature for the club.
Jose Riveiro confirmed at the beginning of the season that Kapinga will need time to adapt to life in Mayfair.
The latest club update confirmed Kapinga is ‘edging closer’ to his debut at the club, and this weekend could serve as the perfect opportunity for Jose Riveiro to field him.
The Buccaneers make the long trip to the island of Comoros to face Djabal FC on Saturday afternoon. Saturday’s clash will be the first of the two-legged qualifier.
According to Jose, there’s going to be ‘adjustments’ to his starting lineup come Saturday afternoon against the African minnows! Will Lesedi Kapinga be one of those adjustments? It remains to be seen!

“Sometimes it’s not rotation, we just change because we need something different or because we play with a moment of form of our players.” Jose Riveiro said as quoted by Citizen.
“We are going to play a different type of game in a different type of environment and there’s going to be adjustments for sure.”

“I’m happy for the guy. He’s a guy whose always working hard, so it’s good that football is also paying back to him.” the Orlando Pirates coach said regarding Lepasa.
“Because he’s always in the right places like today and today he managed to put the ball in net more times than frequent. So I’m so happy for him, because it’s going to be good for the team, it’s good for Zakhele.
“There is room to improve always. We want to be more consistent going forward like we did today but today is a collective, it’s not only one player.”
