Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s tantalising MTN8 second quarter-final clash at Orlando Stadium.
Just two months ago these two sides faced each other in the Nedbank Cup final, with Buccaneers ending up victorious thanks to a late goal by Terrence Dzvukamanja, who has since left the club.
Pirates are coming to this game with after winning their DStv Premiership home game against Royal AM 4-2, following a surprise opening day defeat to Stellnebosch FC.
Jose Riveiro, who collected a domestic cup double in his debut campaign, could go into the history books as one of the coaches who defended the MTN8 title.
Babina Noko on the other side are itching for a revenge after missing out on the Nedbank Cup trophy. Brandon Truter’s side are coming into this game after a comfortable 2-0 victory against Cape Town Spurs.
Sekhukhune have only won once against Pirates, which away from home, while the Buccaneers have claimed three victories with one tie ending as a draw.
