IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

Yellow level 1 warning: Damaging winds resulting in localised damage to settlements and localised disruption to travel routes is expected over the Joe Gqabi and Chris Hani District Municipalities as well as the Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality of the Eastern Cape.

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

ADVISORIES:

Light snow and snow melt may result in icy roads over the north-eastern high ground of the Eastern Cape in the morning.

Gauteng

Cloudy in the morning, becoming partly cloudy and cold.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga

Temperature: Cloudy and very cold to cold but cool in the Lowveld, with morning drizzle along the escarpment. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon.

Limpopo

Temperature: Cloudy and cold to cool with morning drizzle along the escarpment. It will become partly cloudy in theafternoon.

North West

Temperature: Cloudy in the morning, becoming partly cloudy and cool to cold.

Free State

Temperature: Cloudy in the morning, becoming partly cloudy and cold.

Northern Cape

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east in the morning, otherwise fine and cool but cold in the south.

Wind: – The wind along the coast will be light southerly to south-westerly.

Western Cape

Temperature: Fine and cool to cold, becoming partly cloudy in the south-west, but cloudy in the extreme south-west with isolated to scattered showers and rain in the south-west from the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-westerly becoming west to south-westerly from the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Eastern Cape

The Western half: Cloudy north of the escarpment in the morning, otherwise fine and cool.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly.

The Eastern half: Partly cloudy at first becoming fine and cool, but warm along the coast. It will be cloudy with morning drizzle and light snow north of the escarpment.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh northeasterly becoming moderate north-westerly from the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal

Temperature: Partly cloudy at first with morning fog over western interior, otherwise fine and cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly.
