Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Sibusiso Vilakazi has opened up on his relationship with former coach Pitso Mosimane.

It was Mosimane who signed the former Bidvest Wits star for the Brazilians back in 2016.

Vilakazi made over 100 appearances under Pitso Mosimane، scoring 20 goals and assisting a further 28 more.

“Then I met coach Pitso, also a different monster. He stresses the importance of winning, the importance of taking care of the body.” Vilakazi told iDiski Times.

“He stresses the point that this might be your last game and tomorrow he will find another person because this is Mamelodi Sundowns.

“‘If you can’t produce, we find somebody else. You sit outside as the train continues.’

“I can’t even find a better word to describe him. I wouldn’t say ‘the greatest’ because I believe there is another name for him to mention and to be used for what he has done and what he will continue to do.”

The latest reports suggest the former Simba attacker is not keen on returning to Al Ahly, or being loaned out for the remainder of his contract which ends in June 2024.

“The 27-year-old has been training with his former club UD Songo for the past two months and is now due to head back to Egypt for talks on the way forward.” a Kick-Off report read regarding the former Mamelodi Sundowns man.

KickOff can disclose that while his former club Simba are interested the intention is to continue in the Middle East with one Saudi second-tier league club keen to bring him on board.

“Miquissone still has a running contract with Al Ahly and is not keen on another loan move as he prefers a permanent switch if the Egyptians have no intention to retain him.”
