Tyla celebrates 3 billion streams on Spotify

Grammy-winning South African pop sensation Tyla has marked yet another major career milestone, announcing that she has surpassed 3 billion streams on Spotify.

Taking to X, the Water hitmaker shared stylish photos of herself while casually dropping the news of her achievement.

“Just passed 3 Billion streams on Spotify tfffff !!! Syd n I look good so imma leave these here w that information,” she wrote.

The post quickly went viral, with fans flooding the comments section to celebrate her success.

One user marveled: “3 billion streams, but still acting like it’s light work.”

Another highlighted the size of her discography, writing: “3 Billion with only 44 songs in your catalogue?! MY TYLA IS A STARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!”

Messages of pride also poured in, with one supporter telling her, “So proud of you! You deserve all the success in the world.”

Since bursting onto the global scene with her breakout single Water, Tyla has become one of Africa’s biggest music exports.

The track not only earned her a Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance but also went viral worldwide, topping charts and dominating social media platforms.

Her catalogue also boasts fan-favourites such as Truth or Dare, Water, On and On, and Butterflies, alongside features with international stars that have cemented her as a rising global powerhouse.

In addition to her streaming success, Tyla has graced the covers of international magazines, performed on prestigious stages, and continues to fly the South African flag high on the world stage.
