There is a fresh update regarding the future of Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena whose contract expires on 30 June.

Mokwena’s new contract is believed to have been drafted a long ago, but he’s yet to sign it and that has led to reports that Sundowns could be forced to look elsewhere.
The name of experienced French coach Patrice Carteron has been bandied about with reports claiming that he could replace Mokwena at Sundowns.

According to a report by UnplayableZA, the delay in Mokwena signing the new contract is due to the ‘technical team changes’ proposed by Mokwena.
Since Mokwena took over, a number of additions were made in the technical team with the likes of Michael Loftman and Ryan Hunt.

And Mokwena is believed to be seeking to assemble his own technical team with veteran goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene among those considered.
According to the publication, Mokwena is proposing to have Mweene as the club’s goalkeeper coach instead of Wendell Robison.
