Slain musician AKA’s furniture has reportedly been removed from his R4 million Bryanston home – Sunday World reports.

According to AKA’s close friend who did not want to be named for fear of victimisation, despite popular belief that the home belonged to the Company hitmaker, he was actually renting it.
“It was not his house. He was renting the property and was paying about R40 000 a month. I know people thought this was his house because of the vehicles he was driv- ing,” said the source.

The source said that although AKA had paid his rent in advance until September 2023, his landlord told the Forbes family to remove his furniture as he had new tenants. His furniture is reportedly now in storage as the family removed it without protesting.
A neighbour, who revealed the Fela In Versace hitmaker moved in some years ago with his ex-girlfriend and media personality Bonang Matheba, said that house has had new occupants for over a month.
LANDLORD RESPONDS
However, Mekoa has denied claims that he kicked AKA out or that he had any disagreement with his family.
He also said that it is not true that the musician had paid his rent in advance. Mekoa further said that he cannot reveal information about the lease agreement as it is private matter between him and the slain artist.
