South African dancer, Musa Motha’s performance to Naughty Boy and Beyonce’s track ‘Runnin’ earned him a spot in history books as all the judges gave him the golden buzzer in Britain’s Got Talent.

African representatives in Britain’s Got Talent finale
Britain’s Got Talent has confirmed all 10 finalists for the 2023 final, set to air live on Sunday night.
Two acts will be representing Africa at the finals, Uganda’s Ghetto Kids and South Africa’s Musa Motha.

Uganda’s Ghetto Kids
The Ghetto Kids, a dance and music group founded in 2014 by Daouda Kavuma, comprises of children from an orphanage in Uganda.
They gained fame in 2014 when a video of them dancing to Eddy Kenzo’s Sitya Loss went viral.

Since then, the Ghetto Kids have toured throughout Africa and the World.
During their performance at Britain’s Got Talent, Judge Bruno Tonioli pressed his golden buzzer, making this the first time the buzzer had been pressed prior to the ending of an act.

South Africa’s Musa Motha
Diagnosed with cancer at a young age, Britain’s Got Talent finalist Musa Motha had his left leg amputated.
While it stifled his dreams of becoming a professional footballer, he found music and learned to dance with the assistance of his crutches.
“After my amputation, I fell in love with music. My friends were dancing at that time, and I asked them to teach me how to dance,” Motha told the judges.

He made history by appearing on the Britain’s Got Talent show over the weekend where he received a special golden buzzer.
Because all the judges had already used their individual golden buzzers, they decided to create a new combined golden buzzer.
