All Gallants’ Awards Winners – iDiski Times

Marumo Gallants held their annual awards gala, just a day after being relegated from the DStv Premiership, with Lucas Radebe as special guest.

Gallants were relegated from the top flight after losing 2-0 to Swallows FC on Saturday, which left at the bottom of the log with 29 points – one behind Maritzburg United, who head into the play-offs, and Chippa United, both on 30 points.

Despite the sad ending on the domestic front, Gallants played an incredible campaign in Africa, reaching the CAF Confederations Cup semi-final, where they were knocked out by Young Africans 4-1 on aggregate.

On Sunday, Gallants invited to their annual awards gala, with Radebe a guest speaker. “You’re an example to a lot of people, there wouldn’t Marumo gallants without you and vice versa,” he said, as per the club’s social channels.

Celimpilo Ngema, who scored six goals and set up four more in 39 appearances across all competitions, was named the club’s Player of the Season.
