Mafikizolo star Nhlanhla Mafu remembers her late daughter who died 14 years ago

Mafikizolo star Nhlanhla Mafu has written a touching birthday tribute to her late daughter Zinathi, who was tragically killed in a car accident in 2009. On what would have been Zinathi’s 19th birthday, Nhlanhla took to Instagram to express the enduring love she will always have for her daughter.

“My dearest daughter Zinathi, happy Heavenly 19th birthday. There’s always so much I want to say but words always fail me. All I know is that I would give anything to just hear you say ‘mom’ again.

“Nothing can ever fill the emptiness I feel in my heart because that part of my heart was designed and custommade just for you. I find comfort in knowing that I’m with you and you are with me always, and I thank God for giving me the best six years of my life. Your loving mom till the end of time.”

In a now-deleted Instagram post from 2021, the singer said after the death of Zinathi, she experienced a lot of heartbreak and said she would never recover.

“I said it was the end of me, the pain and the hurt was so deep, so intense and so unbearable. I never said I’d be able to survive another day.”
