Four Sundowns players honoured by CAF

Following Mamelodi Sundowns’ gutsy and dominant performance against Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League semi-final first leg last weekend, the league has named four Kabo Yellow players in the Team of the Week.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS HOLD WYDAD CASABLANCA

Against what was a hugely intimidating crowd in Casablanca, Rhulani Mokwena’s Sundowns cooly dominated play to bag a clean sheet and an advantageous 0-0 scoreline to take to Tshwane this weekend.

The result also earned four slots in the CAF Champions League Team of the Week. The names were confirmed to be Abdelmounaim Boutouil, Khuliso Mudua, Sipho Mbule and Peter Shalulile.

The news was confirmed by CAF via Twitter on Monday.

CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK

The DStv Premiership holders and 2016 African champions will host the Moroccan giants at Loftus on Saturday at 15:00.
