Tweeps reacts to DJ Zinhle spending mothers day with Lynn Forbes

On Sunday, 14 May, South African DJ and businesswoman Ntombezinhle Jiyane, popularly known as DJ Zinhle, spent Mother’s Day with Lynn Forbes, the mother of her late “baby daddy”. Along with them were his girlfriend, Nadia Nakai and Murdah Bongz. This was the first Mother’s Day without rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, who was popularly known as AKA. He was shot dead outside of Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on 10 February, along with his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

DJ Zinhle shared a snap of a candlelit dinner table on her Instagram Story and tagged AKA’s mom and influencer Nadia Jafta. She also shared a story of Lynn with her daughter Asante Mohosana, who she shares with musician Murdah Bongz.

Zinhle and Lynn were joined by Nadia Nakai, AKA’s girlfriend at the time of his death, and Murdah Bongz. DJ Zinhle shared snaps on her Instagram of Nadia holding her, AKA’s daughter Kairo, and Asante. She also shared a sweet moment of Lynn hugging Murdah. Lynn Forbes defends her relationship with DJ Zinhle

In an interview with eNCA, Lynn Forbes talked about her relationship with her son’s girlfriend, Nadia Nakai, and DJ Zinhle, the mother of AKA’s daughter Kairo Forbes. She explained that she struggled to understand the criticism surrounding her relationship with the Umlilo hitmaker. Twitter users have criticized DJ Zinhle for her co-parenting relationship with AKA, claiming she still loves him and her relationship with the Forbes family.

Recently, Tweeps claimed that they have never seen DJ Zinhle take photos with her “husband” Murdah Bongz’s family. This was after photos of her with Nadia, Lynn and AKA’s father, Tony Forbes, went viral. In her interview with eNCA, Lynn explained that it is all about Kairo. She spoke of a time when Kairo told her teacher that she loved how much love there was in her family.

“Kairo… a school teacher actually phoned me and she said to me. Their theme was on family and every child had to say what they love most about my family. And her answer was ‘what I love most about my family is that we all love each other’,” she said.

“It is the the most powerful thing ever. So I am sorry, we are just going to keep on loving each other and whoever can’t deal with it. You know it’s their problem,” she continued.
