Confirmed: Emtee files for divorce

Mthembeni Ndevu, better known by his stage name Emtee, has recently filed for divorce from his wife Nicole Chinsamy. According to sources, Emtee has moved out of the apartment he shared with Nicole and is currently staying with a friend in Fourways. The divorce papers were filed in April.

When asked about the situation, Emtee was hesitant to confirm the report. He stated that he had not fully moved out of the apartment, as some of his belongings were still there. When asked if he had filed for divorce, Emtee simply responded, “Yep.”

Nicole, who shares two children with the rapper, declined to comment on the matter. This news comes after Nicole withdrew an assault case against Emtee in March. The rapper had appeared in court for allegedly assaulting her on Valentine’s Day in February.

In a statement seen by Sunday World, Nicole claimed that she decided to withdraw the assault case for the sake of their children. She stated that she had forgiven Emtee and wished to withdraw the charges against him.

On March 3rd, Emtee went live on Instagram and showcased an argument between himself and Nicole. In the video, Nicole can be heard accusing Emtee of assaulting her while she was seven months pregnant.
