Spurs Expecting A Big Crowd For MFC Title Decider

Tickets sales are already on the rise for Sunday’s Motsepe Foundation Championship match at Athlone Stadium between log leaders Cape Town Spurs and AmaTuks, which if Spurs win, would confirm their promotion to the DStv Premiership

Shaun Bartlett’s team put themselves in an excellent position to return to the top flight, after they moved top of the table after beating La Masia 2-1 last Sunday.

Spurs are now one point ahead of Casric Stars, and two ahead of Polokwane City.

The club and the Spurs fan base are looking to have 12000 fans at the stadium for the game, and are using the hashtag #fillathlonestadium across social media platforms to further garner interest in the crunch match, which could see the Western Cape get its third team in the Premiership.

The club confirmed to iDiski Times on Monday that they have already seen an upsurge in tickets being bought so early in the week, and said they normally only see tickets moving later in the week.

Tickets for the game, which kicks off at 15h00 on Sunday, can be purchased for R40 at webtickets.
