Limpopo-based musician Makhadzi reveals the difficulties she faced working with Open Mic Productions for three years.

Makhadzi, a popular musician from Limpopo, has been speaking out about her struggles with Open Mic Productions, claiming that the company has enslaved her. She stated that the company failed to give her money from album sales, and she has been unhappy with them for the past three years.

The musician took to Twitter to express her frustrations, saying that the company did not even give her a copy of the contract, and she has been treated as an enslaved person. She claimed that the company renewed the contract without her consent, a move that left her feeling powerless.

Makhadzi also alleged that Open Mic Productions removed her song, which had already garnered 130k views, breaking her heart. She added that after demanding a copy of her contract, Open Mic only assigned Nkateko Maluleke, their Managing Director, to speak to her. Unfortunately, Maluleke threatened her to stop demanding the contract, which started slavery.

Fans of the musician have come out in support of her, calling for justice and advising her to take the legal route. They also expressed their disappointment in Open Mic Productions, stating that the company used Makhadzi’s humble background to trick her.

Makhadzi has advised her fans not to book her through Open Mic Productions as she will not show up. Fans have urged for her protection and have expressed their disappointment in a black person doing such to another.

It is heartbreaking to see a top artist such as Makhadzi go through such difficulties with a company that is supposed to support her. We can only hope that justice prevails in this matter, and artists are treated fairly and with respect.
