Princess Diana lookalike? Five times Kate channeled mother-in-law

Although Princess Diana never met her daughter-in-law, Kate, they most definitely have the same immaculate style. Here’s a look at five times Princess Kate channeled the late Diana in her fashion choices.

From gorgeous evening wear to chic casual wear, there is no denying it. When it comes to their fashion choices, Princes Kate of Wales and her late mother-in-law Princess Diana share impeccable taste.

In a true testament to her style, Princess Diana’s fashion choices truly stood the test of time.

Here’s a look at the five times Kate best replicated Diana’s iconic looks.

POLKA DOT QUEENSIn 1998, Diana stunned in a beautiful white dress with black polka dots while attending the Ascot Royal Races. Nearly 34 years later, her daughter-in-law, Kate, wore an almost identical outfit

2021 Princess Kate, the current Princess of Wales, donned a white dress with polka dots while attending the Royal Ascot races along with Prince William.

Like Diana, Kate completed her look with a large, flat-top hat. She also, according to DailyMail, wore a pair of diamond and pearl earrings that had once belonged to Diana.

2. ICONIC HOUDSTOOTH

During a 1991 tour to Canada, Princess Diana opted for a chic red and white houndstooth Moschino suit jacket and a black and white houndstooth skirt.

A few decades later, in 2018, Princes Kate wore a similar houndstooth jacket during a tour of Norway and Sweden.

3. GLITZ AND GLAM

For the “No Time To Die” film premiere in London in 2021, Princess Kate left fans breathless when she stepped out in a gorgeous ‘Goldfinger’ dress. The dramatic gold floor-length gown is covered in gold metallic sequins and boasts a cape-like design.

For a Bruce Oldfield fashion show in 1985, Princess Diana stunned in a metallic silver pleated gown. Both dresses boast a V-neck and padded shoulder design.

4. PERFECT WHITE COLLARS

Continuing their love of polka dots, Princess Kate Princess Diana wore similar navy blue polka dots dresses with white collars.

Princess Diana wore hers with bow detail while Kate was seen in her version at the then-Prince Charles’ 70th birthday portrait on 5 September at Clarence House.

5. LADIES IN RED

In a special tribute to her late mother-and-law, Princess Kate chose an almost exact replica of The People’s Princess’s dress to introduce baby Harry to the world in 1984.

Kate also gave birth at the same hospital Diana did; St. Mary’s Hospital in London. For her first appearance after the birth of Prince Louis, she channeled Princess Di wearing a red Jenny Packham dress with a white lace Peter Pan collar, as per Glamour. Diana wore a long-sleeved red dress with a white collar.
