Njabulo Blom MLS update
St. Louis City SC have made a 100% start to the Western Conference season in their maiden campaign as part the MLS. They’ve scored 15 goals in their five matches, at a healthy average of three per game. Blom’s last start in the MLS was on March 5th against Charlotte. Since then, he was unwell which led to his Bafana Bafana withdrawal. He’s back though, making a cameo off the bench in St. Louis’s 4-0 win at Real Salt Lake City on Sunday. The 23-year-old will be eager to get his starting place back when they face Minnesota this coming Sunday.

Kaizer Chiefs still haven’t replaced Blom
Yusuf Maart has performed admirably for Chiefs but he’s struggled to form a decent partnership with either Siyethemba Sithebe or Samkelo Zwane. Now, with Maart suspended for this weekend’s PSL clash with Stellies, the failure to replace Blom will be more deeply felt.
