Fresh from winning the South African Football Journalists Association (SAFJA), Women’s Player of the Season, Nompumelelo Nyandeni scored the only goal as TS Galaxy Queens defeated Durban Ladies 1-0 at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in the Hollywoodbets Super League.

The Queens, however, dropped to seventh place on the log tied on 12 points with Durban Ladies in fifth spot and Royal AM just above them, all from seven matches.

Limpopo based side Ma-Indies Ladies were condemned to the basement of the log following a 5-1 thrashing by University of Johannesburg (UJ) in Soweto. Ma-Indies are so far the only side to not register a single point this season, while UJ sit comfortably in third place with 15 points from seven games.

Elsewhere log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies narrowly won the Tshwane derby 1-0 against Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), to maintain their unbeaten record. Sundowns remain at the summit of the table with 19 points in seven outings while TUT slipped two spots down to number 10 with eight points from the same number of games.
