South Africa international forward Liam Jordan has joined Swedish top-flight side IF Brommapojkarna ahead of the 2023 season.
Jordan has spent the last four seasons in the Danish second tier with HB Køge and Helsingor respectively after joining from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
With 28 goals and 19 assists in 156 appearances across all competitions the 24-year-old is set for his latest challenge where he’s looking to continue his exploits in the Allsvenskan.
“I want to start as I finished in Helsingør, as the team’s top scorer, says Liam Jordan. I want to show my individual strengths in the team and in the league and contribute to creating a positive reputation for the association and also for myself in a new country,” he said upon joining the club Tuesday.
The club’s sporting director Philip Berglund could not hide his delight after landing the former Bidvest Wits talent, who’s the son of the late Kearyn Jordan.
“We are bringing in a top player who we believe will be decisive for us in many matches, He’s a player with great potential who has done well in Denmark,” he stated.
Jordan joins Tashreeq Matthews (IK Sirius) and Luke Le Roux (Varbergs BoIs) in the Swedish top flight with the new season kicking off in April.
