Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Morning drizzle in the Lowveld accompanied by fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Morning drizzle in the Lowveld accompanied by fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with showers and thundershowers.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north-east.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in the north. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected over the eastern half. It will be cool along the coast where cloudy and fog patches are expected in the morning.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh south-westerly to southerly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot over the interior, becoming partly cloudy. It will be cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm with drizzle along the west coast until the mid-morning but rain in the south from the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong westerly to south-westerly becoming south easterly in the south-west from the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy to cloudy from the north with isolated thunderstorms. It will be partly cloudy and cool along the coast, becoming cloudy in the evening with isolated showers and rain.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate north-easterly east of Algoa Bay at first, otherwise moderate to fresh westerly.

The Eastern half -Partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers over the interior but scattered in the north-east.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, but strong along the wild coast from the late morning.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fog over the interior and light rain along the north coast in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west, but scattered in the extreme southwest.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be gentle easterly to south-easterly north of Richard’s Bay, otherwise moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly.
