Robert Marawa bounces back on the radio
With an illustrious career spanning years, Robert Marawa has since been dupped as one of the celebrated sports media personalities in South Africa. His profile saw him sharing the sports analysis panel with some of the world’s finest. However, in the mix of things, he was axed from SABC and SuperSport. His exit took a knock on his career, and rumours have it that he was struggling to make ends meet.
In November 2022, Marawa was making headlines for the wrong reasons as one of the biggest finance providers in Mzansi was reportedly after Robert Marawa’s Mercedes-Benz AMG. The repossession comes after he allegedly failed to make a balloon payment of more than R1 million.
Robert Marawa was allegedly taken to the Pretoria High Court after failing to pay the balloon payment of more than R1 million to his Mercedes-Benz. Reports say Mercedez-Bens was granted a court order to cancel the agreement and repossess the car in August. On top of that, the courts also gave the dealership permission to apply for an order to obtain any outstanding balance on the loan following the car’s resale.
It’s not clear if he settled his battle with the court, but Mzansi is happy for Marawa as he has secured a job which will allow him to put food on the table.
