Zwane On Downs – We Play To Win Every Game

Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has sent a message to the Amakhosi faithful and insisted his side want to win every game ahead of facing leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Chiefs were hammered 4-0 by AmaZulu, who completely ran them off the park by scoring three goals in the first half as hapless Amakhosi folded at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday night.

While Chiefs improved in the second stanza, they were still hit on the back, with Bongi Ntuli poking the fourth in the injury-time to see Amakhosi concede four goals for the second time this season.

Sundowns, who they will face this coming weekend at FNB Stadium, were the first side to score four the reverse fixture in Pretoria.

Chiefs will have to massively improve against Sundowns at FNB Stadium on Saturday (20:00), with the World Cup venue set to be filled to rafters as Sundowns have won their last 11 matches.

“We’ll obviously prepare for this game [against Sundowns] and see how it goes,” Zwane added.

“But, like I said, we take one game at a time and we play to win every game we play.”

Following Sundowns’ win over SuperSport United, they could now become the first side in PSL history to win 12 matches in a row, having equalled their run from 2007 under Gordon Igesund.

Zwane and his team, though, will want to have a say as they are looking to avoid three successive defeats, with 10111 sending a rallying message to the club’s faithful.

“I think to our supporters [the message to them], we will turn the corner and in the game of football you lose games and you draw some and you win some,” said Zwane.

“But we do see that they are disappointed at some point and we are not happy with that.”
