AEW Rampage Holiday Bash saw Tony Khan put up $300,000 (R5.1 million) in the Three Kings Christmas Casino Trios Royale.
The match featured 24 (25 – 40ish if you count uninvited guests) AEW stars split across eight Trios teams.
We also got a sighting of South African AEW star Angelico who teamed with Dr Luther and Serpentico. The team are known as the Spanish Announce Project.
The rules were simple: eliminations occurred when both feet touch the floor after going over the top rope and a team is still in contention as long as there is one member of the trio left competing.

LFI, Best Friends and Orange Cassidy, and Butcher, The Blade and Kip Sabian kicked off the match in the ring.
Chuck Taylor of the Best Friends is the first man eliminated shortly before the Blackpool Combat Club bring the violence to the match.
Revenge was on the mind of the Dark Order reigning down strikes on former member Vance, who recently defected to LFI.
Dark Order then zeroed in on Moxley acting on Hangman’s orders no doubt.
Moxley goes into a full rage as he eliminates The Blade, Orange Cassidy and Kip Sabian in short order.
The match comes down to a two-on-two between the BCC’s Mox and Castagnoli against Top Flight’s Dante and Darius Martin.
Moxley would be eliminated after outside interference from Hangman Adam Page.
With security restraining Moxley, Top Flight took advantage and eliminated Mox.
Castagnoli put up a valiant fight but eventually, Top Flight and AR Fox came out as the winning team.
You can catch AEW Rampage Holiday Bash on TNT Africa from 10:00 on 31 December 2022.
