Real Madrid have signed a 16-year-old Brazilian starlet Endrick from Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras.
He will join Madrid when he reaches legal age [18] in July 2024, as per FIFA rules and regulations that prohibit underage players to be transferred overseas.
His deal will see him stay at the club until 2030.
The youngster is deemed as the next big thing given his selfless space creation and a showreel of tricks and flicks.
Endrick will visit the Spanish giants’ facilities next week as stated by the club.
However, the talented forward will continue training with Palmeiras.
ENDRICK HAPPY ABOUT THE REAL MADRID MOVE…
“I thank Palmeiras, forever the club of my heart, for offering me everything necessary to become what I am today,” Endrick told Palmeiras’ media department.
“And for helping me to accomplish several of my dreams and for respecting my desire and that of my family to make another dream come true.
“Until I join Real Madrid, I will continue to dedicate myself as I have always dedicated myself to being able to offer Palmeiras even more on the field.”
He has already represented Brazil’s U17 side.
Endrick has found the back of the net on three occasions in seven Brazilian Serie A appearances this campaign.
WHAT PALMEIRAS PRESIDENT HAD TO SAY…
Meanwhile, the club’s president Leila Pereira added that:” We completed the biggest negotiation in the history of Brazilian football. Real Madrid’s proposal is compatible with Endrick’s enormous talent.
“The deal corresponds to the sporting and financial goals that we have established since the beginning of negotiations.”
He made his professional debut for the Brazilian side back in October.
His stellar performances got the attention of big clubs across the world including the likes of Chelsea and PSG, whose bid for the youngster was rejected last month.
Barcelona were also reported to be interested to sign the Palmeiras’ hot property.
