The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has been postponed to May 2023.
The trial for the five men accused of murdering Senzo Meyiwa, a former goalkeeper for the Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana, has been set for May of 2023.
The postponement comes after two of the accused brought in new counsel.
In order to allow Ramosepele time to become familiar with the case, review the trial transcripts, and review the materials in the case docket, Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela postponed the trial until May 2023
“By agreement, this case has been postponed to 2 May 2023. It is postponed with the understanding that when we reconvene it shall proceed from 2 May to 26 May 2023.
