Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have ended the group stage of the CAF Women’s Champions League currently underway in Morocco in style.
Banyana Ba Style claimed all three points after crashing TP Mazembe
4-0 in their last group stage clash at Grand Stade De Marrakech Stadium on Sunday night.
Goals from skipper Zanele Nhlapo, Lelona Daweti, Melinda Kgadiete and Gabonnelwe Kekana were enough for Sundowns to finish top of Group B with nine points from three outings.
The African Queens had already booked their spot into the tournament’s semifinals after humiliating Wadi Degla of Brazil 5-0 last Thursday.
The red-hot Brazilians started the match on top, finding the back of the net in just 19 minutes of the half.
Downs Ladies opened the scoring through captain Nhlapo from the spot kick after Chuene Morifi was brought down in the 18 area, as she was running towards the goals.

The intensity and pace grew drastically from the Sundowns and showed no sign of slowing down.
In the last six minutes of the showdown, Merveille Kanjinga received a red card which put more pressure on Mazembe.
In the last minutes of the showpiece, Kekana put the last nail in the coffin when she scored the fourth goal for Sundowns.
The game ended 4-0, with Sundowns progressing to the knockout phase [semis] of the competition.
