KwaZulu-Natal: At 08H35 Thursday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a shooting at a residence in Umkomaas on the KZN South Coast.
Reports allege that an unknown number of gunmen in a single vehicle stopped outside the patient’s gate, whereupon the patient exited the house to investigate. As the patient approached the gate, the gunmen opened fire, using high-calibre weapons.
When medics arrived on the scene they found an adult male believed to be in his late forties, lying face down in a pool of blood in the garden.
The patient, whose body was riddled with gunshot wounds was assessed, however, showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased on the scene. Circumstances leading up to the shooting will be investigated by the Umkomaas SAPS who were on the scene.
