Banyana Banyana’s opponents at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup have been confirmed.
The draw for next year’s showpiece in Australia and New Zealand took place in Auckland this morning, with Desiree Ellis present at the illustrious event.
Banyana, who qualified as champions of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, were placed in pot four ahead of the draw, meaning they would always get a tough group in their second participation at FIFA’s showpiece.
They will face Sweden, Italy and Argentina in Group G of the tournament.
