The Klerksdorp-born rapper took to social media and shared the first visuals of the short film. The one-minute-long trailer gives fans a peek into what the short film is about.

Narrated by the rapper, he delivers a stunning vocal performance that tells the story of a young man named Doe, who is in the ‘game’ [hustling] for money and trying his best to climb economic hierarchies to reach the upper echelon.

“Most guys are in this game because of the chase… myself, I just want the money. That’s why they call me Doe,” he narrates.

From the visuals, it seems the short film chronicles the life of a young man living the dangerous side of the nightlife, seemingly making money from illegal activities.

“We acquire what we desire, so we don’t need to hang onto these corners talking about the same things. So we can move out of these congested spaces and move into the upper echelon of the world,” he continues.

Expressing the ambitions one may find in a child living in liminal spaces, who knows the beautiful things life can offer by sight only.
