There has been a late push by AmaZulu supporters helping the club overtake Swallows FC in the Carling Cup top 4 ahead of the voting deadline on 2 October.
The Carling Cup leaderboard is moving rapidly and giving us a clearer picture of who will be competing in the inaugural competition in November.
From the get-go Kaizer Chiefs have been well ahead, and the Amakhosi have climbed to 422,775 votes in the latest rankings.
Orlando Pirates have been in second place for a long time and cemented that spot with 305,098 ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns in third with 146,549.
Swallows, after having made the most of their social media promotion, drives and at times, banter had climbed into fourth with 25,487 votes, well ahead of AmaZulu with 14,451. However, the tide has now turned as Usuthu have replaced the Dube Birds in the top four, having collected 87,305 votes, while Swallows have 81,070.

While at the first time of publishing the votes, the ranking was publicly available on the Carling Black Label Cup website, they have now been removed but AmaZulu Director Manzini Zungu shared the latest standings.
The top four in the ranking by 2 October will face each other in the semi-finals of the newly-formed competition, which takes place on 12 November.
