The revelation sparked warm reactions from the presenters, who praised her heritage and noted the unique blend that shapes both her look and her creative persona.

While fans across Southern Africa have long celebrated her Swazi-South African roots, her open discussion about her Indian lineage offered listeners a deeper glimpse into her background as she continues to share her story on international platforms.

A monumental season of success and new music

This international press run comes on the heels of an extraordinary period of career-defining achievements for the young powerhouse.

Following her meteoric mainstream success with multi-platinum hits, Zee has continued an unstoppable upward trajectory, recently earning major accolades including being named among Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 and taking home the coveted Artist of the Year award at the Basadi in Music Awards.

Keeping her creative momentum at an all-time high, she also recently treated fans to her latest body of work, the collaborative EP Izinja Zam: Vol. I alongside heavyweight producer Dlala Thukzin, featuring standout tracks like Mzala and Awe Mah.

Her relentless work ethic and hit-making prowess prove that she is an unstoppable force in modern African music.

Expanding her reach across the continent

Zee’s visit to Nigeria forms part of a strategic effort to connect with West African audiences and build key industry relationships outside of South Africa. As Amapiano and South African soundscapes continue their global surge, the young artist spent time in Lagos engaging in media runs, radio interviews, and industry panel discussions designed to penetrate the West African music market.

Her trip to Lagos highlights a growing movement of Southern African creators building continental bridges, establishing direct connections with Nigerian listeners while maintaining the authentic storytelling and vocal energy that made her a household name back home.
