Motaung Breaks Silence On Blom Talks

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has addressed the situation of Njabulo Blom after the player’s agent revealed details about the impasse between both camps.

Blom, 22, who was given his first appearance by Ernst Middendorp in the 2019/20 season, will see his current contract with Chiefs expire at the end of the season.

His agent Rob Moore said Chiefs have tried to renew the player’s contract but the club’s offer was not good enough, leading the talks to stall.

While Moore insisted he is looking out for the best of his player, Chiefs were seemingly not happy with his comments, with Bobby Motaung now revealing the club have involved the player’s parents to find common ground.

“Njabulo Blom is going nowhere, he’s staying with us,” said Motaung on Ukhozi FM.

“His matter we are sorting it and we are sorting this matter without noise, without agents who are talking in big English.

“We as a club are sorting this matter with his parents to say ‘the boy is coming from our development structures and he’s going nowhere’.

“Unless there’s an offer overseas and the offer is good for him and the club is happy with that offer, then we won’t stand in his way, we’d let him go’.

“As it is now, he’s a Kaizer Chiefs player and he’s here with us.”

Blom, who can play as a right back, across the midfield, has featured in 90 matches for Chiefs and surprisingly he is yet to score.
