Orlando Pirates have completed their second Deadline Day signing after Sipho Chaine joined the club from Chippa United.

Earlier, Pirates had announced the arrival Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo from Marumo Gallants, while just minutes before the deadline, Chaine’s deal was also registered at the Premier Soccer League offices.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper made two appearances for Chippa this season under Daine Klate but Loyd Kazapua, who was also linked to the Buccaneers has been preferred over the last three league outtings.

As first reported by SABC Sport, Chaine has now completed a move to Pirates as they bolster their goalkeeping department with Richard Ofori, Siyabonga Mpontshane, academy product Kopano Thuntsane the options for head coach Jose Riveiro.

Chaine only joined Chippa from Royal AM in July but can be signed by Pirates because a player can be registered by two different clubs in a calendar year.

The Buccaneers are yet to announce the transfer and the contract details of the player.
