Thuso Mbedu made an appearance at the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2027 runway show, stunning in a pink checkered print minidress. Understanding the assignment of the eco-designed runway and the ergonomic design of the fashion, the actress kept her outfit cool and comfortable.

The South African actress rocked up at the runway show in a loose-fitting, long-sleeved checkered pink minidress, styled with black boots and a black bag, with her hair in a high ponytail.  She was among the high-profile guests to view the women’s ready-to-wear collection.

The designs by Nicolas Ghesquiere, Artistic Director of Women’s Collections of the Maison of Louis Vuitton since 2013, are relaxed, flowy and easy to wear, yet still make a statement, playing on colour, shape, structure and silhouette.

What’s in your purse?

At the runway show, a reporter asked Thuso what her favourite thing in her bag was. Excited, the actress dug into her purse, looking for one thing that could be her favourite.

“It’s actually very empty right now; I will have to say it’s my invite for tonight. That’ll be my invite because it’s so empty,” she observed as she pulled out the invitation she received.

The ready-to-go collection

Nicolas Ghesquiere showcased a collection filled with effortless looks that managed to turn heads. As the models strutted down the runway in the garments, the pieces moved, practically spoke, whilst the models still looked comfortable and relaxed. Since the designs themselves were made to move with the body, they carried a life of their own.

This collection is one made with women’s comfort in mind, and Thuso’s look definitely aligned with Nicolas’s vision: effortless yet glamorous.
