Chaos Erupts in Durban CBD as Anti-Illegal Immigration Protest Turns Violent
Chaos has erupted in Durban CBD as anti-illegal immigration protesters marched through the city amid escalating tensions with foreign nationals.
Several buildings were reportedly attacked and two vehicles were set alight, while police were deployed to monitor the situation and prevent further violence.
The unrest follows clashes around the Home Affairs Refugee Reception Centre on Che Guevara Road, where protesters have been demanding an end to the processing of asylum applications at the facility.
