‘It can only be God’: Karabo Mogane and wife celebrate 5 years of marriage

South African singer and former Idols SA winner Karabo Mogane and his wife, Sinesipho Mbandazayo-Mogane, are celebrating five years of marriage.

The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony on 29 September 2021, have continued to mark their relationship milestones publicly, often reflecting on their faith, love and growing family.

‘It can only be God’

As they celebrate five years together as husband and wife, the couple has once again reflected on their journey and the role their faith has played in their relationship.

Karabo has previously credited God as the foundation of their marriage, writing on their second anniversary that God had remained faithful throughout their journey.

“It can only be God,” the sentiment behind their latest milestone reflects, as the couple celebrates another year of marriage.

Their anniversary comes after years of publicly sharing glimpses of their relationship, from their wedding celebrations to family milestones.

From partners to parents

Karabo and Sinesipho have also grown their family since getting married. The couple welcomed their daughter, Phetolo Azania Mogane, who Karabo has previously described as a blessing.

While celebrating their third anniversary in 2024, Karabo expressed gratitude for waking up beside his wife and daughter and spoke about the plans they were building together as a family.

Sinesipho also celebrated their third anniversary, describing their relationship as her “favourite love story” and saying that wherever her husband was, it felt like home.

5 Years of love

The couple’s marriage has been marked by regular public declarations of love and appreciation.

On their first anniversary, Karabo compared marriage to school, saying that every day brought a new lesson and that he was grateful to have his wife beside him through the journey.

By their third anniversary, he spoke about continuing to build an unbreakable bond and creating memories together.

Five years after saying “I do,” Karabo and Sinesipho are celebrating another chapter of their love story — with faith, family and gratitude at the centre of their journey.
