Mudau Confident Downs Can Defend All Their Trophies

Mamelodi Sundowns full-back Khuliso Mudau is confident that the club can defend all the trophies they won in the 2021/2022 season.

Sundowns did a clean sweep of all domestic trophies last season, and the only silverware they were unable to bring back to Chloorkop was the CAF Champions League.

Eyebrows were raised as Sundowns lost two league games in the opening month of the 2022/2023 campaign, but despite the stumble, they are currently top of the DStv Premiership table.

Mudau was speaking in the latest edition of iDiski Times when he sat down for an interview with Lethabo Kganyago.

“Personally I wouldn’t say we had a bad start and we are still on the right track to compete for the title,” Mudau told iDiski Times.

“I don’t think people should write us off just because we lost two games (laughs)…

“The campaign is still long and these teams who work too hard against us are still going to face each other, they are still going to defeat each other you understand.

“With the quality we have and belief,  we are going to win the league title again. I also believe we are going to defend all the cups we won last season.”

In this week’s edition of iDiski Times, you can read the full Mudau interview, as he talks about the demands players must face at the Brazilians, and their hope to defend all of their trophies. We also talk to AmaZulu forward Gabadinho Mhango who discusses his Pirates exit, his move to KZN and more. Read the full edition of iDiski Times below:
