Gert-Johan Coetzee opens first-ever Bryanston boutique

Award-winning South African fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee opened his first-ever retail boutique at the Winifred Mandela Precinct in Bryanston, Johannesburg, allowing shoppers to indulge, browse, and buy his collections.

Gert-Johan took to Instagram to announce the store’s opening, describing it as more than just a store, but rather a glimpse into their universe brought to life. The designer expressed pride in curating an unapologetically luxurious and glamorous space.

“An incredibly luxurious space that is a true home for the world of Gert-Johan Coetzee,” he said, adding that he had worked with the Papillon Interior Design team.

Gert-Johan also detailed how intentional he was in choosing the finishes for the store’s interior. Durability, luxury, and elegance were the main priorities in designing the store.

What to expect in the boutique

Glamour Magazine explained that the clothes take centre stage. Sculptural pieces are displayed throughout the marble-clad space. Shoppers can expect to find the designer’s signature gowns, ready-to-wear pieces with accessories, leather goods and his recently launched fragrance collection.

The designer also provides a selection of limited edition pieces and merchandise that were specifically created for the Bryanston store. The Ndlovu handbag collection will also be available to Bryanston shoppers.

The announcement came with many congratulations from clients, celebrities, and people known to have been dressed by the designer.
