Simz Ngema and Tino Chinyani unmasked on ‘The Masked Singer SA’ as sheep duo

Simphiwe ‘Simz’ Ngema and Tino Chinyani were unmasked as the dynamic sheep duo on The Masked Singer SA, making history as the first-ever duo to compete.

The couple was unmasked in the recent episode, with J’Something being the only detective to guess correctly. The rest of the detectives were locked in on Gigi and Reason, with Zee Nxumalo guessing Pabi Cooper and Focalistic.

With the sheep being unmasked, this leaves only four contestants remaining: Gogga, Chopsticks, Mosquito, and Spotty. Many fans of the show are rooting for Mosquito in the finals.

Simz Ngema and Tino Chinyani share their experience

Speaking on being the first-ever duo in the South African franchise’s history, Tino expressed how amazing it felt, especially doing it with a person he loved the most.

The competition also left him anxious. He joked, “If you want to see us pass out on stage, now is the time.”

Simz shared that she was also nervous that the judges would know who they were immediately.

Fans disappointed

The Masked Singer SA shared a post on Instagram of a clip revealing the duo, and fans commented under the post expressing their disappointment.

It was made clear that the four remaining contestants are not the viewers’ choice. Many of the commenters expressed that Sheep and Pineapple should’ve been in the finals.

However, even through the loss, the couple is very happy to have participated.

“Goes down as one of the biggest highlights of my life… loved every moment,” Simz commented on the show’s Instagram post.

“An unforgettable experience,” wrote Tino.
