Confirmed: Cola Joins Hungry Lions

Former University Of Pretoria goalkeeper Bulelani Cola has successfully joined Motsepe Foundation Championship side Hungry Lions.

Cola recently parted ways with AmaTuks after spending two seasons with the side. The former Zizwe United goalkeeper was part of the Tuks team that finished second in the National First Division last season and went on to lose in the Premier Soccer League promotional playoffs.

iDiskiTimes has learnt that the 26-year-old agreed to sign a one-year contract with the Northern Cape-based side. The Lions conceded 27 goals last season and their aim now is to reduce that with the addition of Cola.

Hungry Lions started their 2022/23 season like a house on fire as they collected maximum points away from home when they beat Black Leopards by 1-0.

They will hope to continue with their great start when they face Pretoria Callies. The fixture was supposed to be a home fixture for Lions but due to the unavailability of Windhoek Lager Park Stadium in Kimberly and Sivos Training Center Stadium, it was moved to be an away game.
