Dakota Fanning raps Lil Wayne word-for-word

Dakota Fanning is not just a phenomenal actress, but she is a fine rapper too.

Fanning was on Track Star Presents with host Jack Coyne, when she surprised us all with her rapping skills. Coyne himself didn’t just enjoy Fanning’s rapping, but seemed surprised that not only did she know every word, but she wasn’t too shy to rap every explicit lyric for over a minute.

Fanning chose Watch my Shoes by Lil Wayne as her song for the man-on-the-street music trivia show which Coyne launched in 2023.

“I can’t believe I just did that. Only for Track Star,” Fanning coyly said after her song was over.

“What song is that?” asked Coyne.

“That’s Shoes by Lil Wayne,” responded Fanning.

Dakota Fanning’s acting career

Fanning has been an actress since the age five getting her start in a 1999 Tide commercial. Her big break came with I am Sam, a critically acclaimed feature film with Sean Penn. Her role as Lucy Diamond Dawson earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination.

The 32-year-old has over 65 films and television shows under her belt, her roles mostly being dramatic charaters.

She has easily made the transition from child star to a successful adult actor, all while remaining scandal-free and private about her personal life.
