The Queen actor Duma Jama ‘Mbulelo Katise’s age stuns Mzansi

Mbulelo Katise plays the character of Duma Jama in the telenovela The Queen. He joined The Queen in season 7 when the Jama family was introduced. Duma Jama is the handsome second son of the late Douglas Juma, killed by his wife and stepmother to Duma. After the death of Douglas, his sons Ayihlome and Duma were curious to know about their father’s death, and the postmortem said he died of a heart attack.

Mbulelo Katise was born on 19 October 1995 in Daveyton, east of Johannesburg. As of 2022, he is 27 and graduated with an academic qualification in Film and Television directing at Tshwane University of Technology.
Growing up, Mbulelo’s grandparents were more interested in theatre, adding that acting has always been part of his family. His grandmother is actress Frances Ndlazilwana, who appeared in the productions After Nine and 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls. Talking to Sunday World, Mbulelo said:

Growing up being exposed to the acting industry, I fell in love with it from a young age and knew it was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. After completing my matric, I enrolled on film and television production at the Tshwane University of Technology. Upon completing my degree a few months ago, I decided to start my own production company, Art Masters Production, which focuses on new talent. By next year, we want to start shooting short films
