Chiefs Give Dove & Bimenyimana Update

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that both Edmilson Dove and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana have not yet received their work permits.

The two players were the latest signings confirmed by the Amakhosi after Arthur Zwane wanted a left-footed defender and a target man upfront.

Dove left Cape Town City at the beginning of the year after spending five years with the club and making 104 appearances in all competitions, scoring on five occasions.

He had been on trial with Amakhosi recently before Chiefs opted to make him part of Zwane’s new project, while Bimenyimana will add depth to the club’s attack after impressing during his recent trial in pre-season.

Both were not able to feature for the Glamour Boys yet, and it seems they will remain on the sidelines for this weekend’s clash with Usuthu.

“The work permits, we’re still waiting on,” Zwane told reporters on Thursday.

The Chiefs coach also confirmed that apart from Dove and Bimenyimana he will have a full set of players available, with only Reeve Frosler missing out due to injury.

“It’s not going to be an easy game for us, it’s not going to be a walk in the park and we’ll have to grind the result like we usually do,” he added.

“We have to go all out to get the result. We’re only missing Reeve due to injury, the rest of the boys are available.”

Chiefs host AmaZulu at the FNB Stadium in the DStv Premiership on Saturday at 17:30.
