Former Platinum Stars coach Alan Freese has rejoined Gauteng ABC Motsepe League side Highlands Park.
Freese was with Cape Town All Stars in the National First Division last season before parting ways at the end of the campaign. The veteran coach led All Stars into a third-place finish but failed to win promotion via the Premier Soccer League promotional playoffs, as Swallows retained their DStv Premiership status.
Freese also had a spell at Free State Stars two seasons ago, before leaving Ea Lla Koto towards the end of the 2020/21 campaign for a short-lived stint at Richards Bay
iDiski Times has now learnt that the 62-year-old has resurfaced at the third division of South African football, joining his former side Highlands Park as head coach.
The Lions Of The North are aiming to fight for their way back to top-flight football, after selling their premiership status to TS Galaxy three seasons ago.
