Mngqithi said his team should have won the match, dominating almost all areas, but said his team failed to use the chances they had despite that domination.
“I think it’s a game that we should have won first half,” Mngqithi told media after the game.
“But we did not take our chances and second half, fortunately for them, they got a good break from our restart, and then equalised.
“But honestly speaking, I think it’s a game that statistically we dominated fully, more than 80% and above ball-possession. More than 14 shots at goals, but disappointing to only get four (on target) shots at goals.
“Very good counter-pressing moments to kill their counter attacks. I think the team played generally very well.
“But when you don’t take your chances, and the momentum is still favourable, sometimes it comes back to bite you.”
